After having already played shows with the likes of Skinless, Dismember, I Killed the Prom Queen,
Alarum and more in their home state of Tasmania over the past couple years, the release of
SEPARATIST’s brilliant debut album ‘The Motionless Apocalypse’ in 2008 has seen the band start
to make significant inroads into the wider Australian metal scene.

Successful tours to Canberra (headlining CHAOS ACT IV), Adelaide and Melbourne in mid 2008
were just a taste, and are now being followed up with an Australian tour spanning from
December, 2008 through to March 2009 and taking in cities and towns all across the country.

With rave reviews of their debut album and their powerful and energetic live shows alike, this is a
band that is heading places.

For fans of: Skinless, The Faceless, Aborted, The Black Dahlia Murder, Despised Icon

Hey all, sup?

Just thought I'd give you a quick rundown of how our trip to Adelaide and Melbourne went over
the weekend :D

Adelaide :
- We arrived, and 15 seconds into the terminal Gilbo gave luke an affectionate sack tap, you know,
the kind that doesnt hurt straight away but creeps up on you a few seconds later, which set the
tone for the rest of the day!

- Problem : Too many people to fit into one car... Solution : We had to take turns riding in the
boot of Daniel Fosters falcon... And in true aussie fashion, Daniel was kind enough to drive like a
maniac whenever there was someone in the boot... Yes, my head is still sore!

- We convinced everyone at the gig (excluding a select few) that James was infact from Sweden,
until we got up on stage and announced that we had fooled everyone, and poor old Browny from
Ass Fixture (or A Svik Tyur as its said in Swedish) looked like he was about to shed a tear or two...
Hooray for making young men sad!

- James disappeared and we didnt know where he was... How unusual! And while he was gone,
the rest of us indulged in a beer tower... which ruled!

- Me and Gilbo sang along to Metallica and Pennywise playing from the Jukebox using grind
vocals instead of actually trying to sing the songs... so much better...

- Once back at Daniels place... I fell asleep... then woke up to gilbo's hairy poopmaker in my face
and everyone laughing... it was very VERY traumatic...

Melbourne :
- Arrived in melbourne, tried to rent a Tarago that we had booked a week earlier but due to all
sorts of complications it turned out we werent allowed to have it... DAMMIT! So we had to catch a
bus...

- Arrived in Melbourne central and had to walk several blocks in the pouring rain with all our
gear, guitars, bags etc, trying to read a soggy map... tough times...

- After we eventually found the Arthouse and had played, we trekked down to the Crown Casino
for shenanigans and so forth... and Luke won $200 from putting like $5 on the pokies! Who said
gambling was bad... He bought me a powerade :D

- Once back at our accommodation, james and luke got up and went outside for a smoke...
Without realising that james was only wearing his boxer shorts, his aviator glasses and a warm
looking jacket that was unzipped... Sexy!

Thats about it I think... I cant really think of anything else... Woot!

In other news, the new shirts are now available through our webstore in S M L and XL as well as a
few girly sizes! The Girls sizes and the mens XL arent actually here yet, but you can order them
now if u want!

Cheers

Hey all! Just wanted to let you all know that we will have a new shirt available for purchase as of
August the 15th, which for those of you who dont know is the day we play our first show in
Adelaide with Asphyxia, A Red Dawn, Sonic Euphoria and Senotia! So, lucky South Australians will
be the first to be able to purchase these brand spanking new shirts, followed closely those who
happen to be in Melbourne on the 16th, when we play at the Arthouse with The Ocularis
Infernum, The Abandonment and Paroxysm!!!

Anywho, the shirts will cost $30 each and
will look a little something like this...

<p align="center"

only they will be actual
teeshirts...

So buy one! They will become available on the webstore once we get back
from our little mainland escapade, so for those of you who wont be making it to our Adelaide or
Melbourne shows and want one asap to the max without delay, then buy one when they become
available! DO IT!

Cheers
Sam

Hey hey hey hey hey hey hey,

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have fixed
the
postage problem on the Separatist official store, so now its even easier to buy our album if
you
havent already! And if you have, why not buy it again just to witness the fixed postage
thing!
Although, you wont notice it unless you buy a shirt aswell... So, its obvious what you need
to do
is it not? Please feel obliged to head to the store and buy buy BUY! To get there, click
here:

<a
Sam

P.S. For those of you who didnt know, the problem with our estore was
that
when purchasing more than one item, it wouldnt combine postage, which henceforth made
postage way too expensive, which is a pain! Well, it is for you anyway, for us its a few extra
dollars... but we are honest fellows and believe you guys should only pay for what needs to
be
paid for! Man we are nice...

Hey all!

Firstly, as a fair few of you know, we played our first interstate show on
the
weekend, in Canberra, the countrys capital, and we had a great time! The atmosphere was
great,
all the other bands (the ones we saw anyway) were absolutely brilliant and everyone was
buying
us beer and jager shots! Thankfully, despite said beer and jager shots, we got a really good
reception, the Canberra metalheads seemed to love it, which is great! The only downside of
the
trip was almost missing every single flight we had booked for us, and only once was it our
fault!
I'm not at liberty to state the names of the airlines that mistreated us, but we will definately
not
be flying with said airlines in the future if given the choice... But aside from that we had an
awesome time! Check out the photos section of our myspace for some live shots aswell as
some
shenanigans along the way!

Just want to give Fogz a shout out for flying us over
there
and organising everything, thanks heaps mate, we had a great time!

Secondly, I
would
like to direct everyones attention once again to MetalObsession.net, as Brendan has just
released
his review of The Motionless Apocalypse, and we are stoked with it! You can view it
here:

<a

ALBUM!

Cheers,
Sam

Hey all, firstly I just wanted to say that our debut release, The Motionless Apocalypse, is
finally available for purchase now! I know... its a bit late, the release date was 2 weeks or so
ago,
but I have been busy!

So yeah, you can buy The Motionless Apocalypse, or any of our other delicious items
(which
at the moment is just the album teeshirt) directly from us via our webstore or by other
arrangement (if you want to make one of these arrangements, send us a private message!),
OR
alternatively you could nip into Tracks Music on Murray St. Hobart and grab a copy
there!

We are currently looking in to the possibility of making the album available via iTunes,
so
yeah if you are interested in that let us know and we'll keep you posted on the
progress!

Just buy the bloody album for goodness sake! Bands need food too...

And secondly, I'd just like to announce that Separatist have been selected to support
Swedish
Death Metal giants Dismember on the Hobart show of their Australia Burns national tour...
SWEET
AS!!!

Cheers

Sam

Oh and one last final thing... for those of you who werent there, we played our first gig
in almost a year last Saturday night at the Zero Degrees Freedom 'The Calm Before The
Silence' Album launch show at the Batty in Launceston... it was great fun! We had a great
night and as per usual ZDF were a sight to behold live. BUY THEIR ALBUM TOO! You have to
buy both of them, not just one or the other...
